ALCAD obtains the “Calculation” seal from the MITECO Carbon Footprint Registry for the 2024 reporting year
09/04/2026
At ALCAD, we continue to advance our commitment to sustainability and the continuous improvement of our environmental performance. In this context, we have registered our carbon footprint for the year 2024 in the Carbon Footprint, Offsetting and CO₂ Absorption Projects Registry of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
The registration, dated 17 March 2026, has been completed with the “Calculation” seal and for scopes 1+2, which certifies that ALCAD has officially calculated its emissions in accordance with the framework established by the Ministry. This includes both direct emissions and those associated with the energy consumption of our industrial activity in Irun.
Measuring to improve: the foundation of a sustainability strategy
Measuring the carbon footprint is a key step for any industrial organisation. It enables a precise understanding of environmental impact, the identification of improvement areas, and the establishment of a solid basis for future actions aimed at energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
Beyond regulatory compliance, having this type of information adds rigour to decision-making and facilitates the integration of sustainability into industrial and operational processes.
A commitment aligned with the environment and the market
In a context where clients, partners and institutions increasingly demand transparency, registration in the official Ministry registry strengthens the credibility and responsibility of companies.
At ALCAD, we understand sustainability as an ongoing line of work, integrated into our technological and industrial strategy. Registering the carbon footprint is not an end goal, but a starting point to continue progressing with a structured approach, long-term vision and a responsible commitment to the environment.
